Prison Radio / April 14, 5-6pm / Ben Turk on Ending Prison Slavery

Join us for Prison Radio, every second Thursday of the month from 5-6pm on CKUT!

Today on the Prison Radio Show we have an interview with Ben Turk about the call for action coming out of the United States to end prison slavery. Ben Talks spoke to the Prison Radio Show about the call for a work stoppage, how folks can get involved, and why to get involved. We’ll also hear an audio version of a letter written to Justin Trudeau. The letter comes from the Termite Collective and is demanding changes to the federal prison system. We end the show today with a speech given by Dudley Laws in 2010 – in the speech Laws gives a brief history of police killings in African-Canadian communities over the past 40 years.
