Yesterday, Bill McKibben of the environmental NGO 350.org had his Montreal talk disrupted by Amanda Lickers of Reclaim Turtle Island, who criticized the colonial-capitalist underpinnings of much of the mainstream environmental movement. On today’s No Is Illegal Radio, we have an interview with Amanda, as well as audio of her intervention.
Also on today’s show, a feature interview with Lindsay Nixon of the Indigenous Women and Two-Spirit Harm Reduction Coalition in Montreal.
Both Lindsay and Amanda were part of the Land Is Life Panel at the Native Friendship Center of Montreal last week, along with Erin Kosmo (Native Youth Sexual Health Network) and a member of Dooda Fracking (Diné’tah). Today’s show includes excerpts from the panel.
The show goes live to air at 5pm, 90.3FM in Montreal or listen via ckut.ca anywhere. Today’s No One Is Illegal Radio is co-hosted and co-produced by Carolin Huang & Jaggi Singh.
