On today’s program, we bring you the latest edition of Groundwire, community radio news from coast to coast to coast. Today’s Groundwire was produced at CJSF radio on Coast Salish Territories in Burnaby, BC.

Then, we look towards Louisiana in the USA, where last week marked the 5th anniversary of the disasterous British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. We’ll hear from Colette Pichon Battle, of the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy in New Orleans, who will tell us about the Gulf South Rising initiative.

Finally, the Ayotzinapa Caravan for the 43 missing and disappeared students in Mexico comes to Montreal. CKUT’s Simone Lucas sat down with members of the caravan to talk about their struggle. She’ll also bring us a report from an Ayotzinapa solidarity demonstration in Montreal.
