Tune in to Labour Radio as part of Off the Hour today from 5-6pm! Labour Radio is a monthly program on CKUT which gives voice and in-depth coverage to labour struggles and the voices of working people.
This week on Labour Radio, we’ll be interviewing Julie from Sex Professionals of Canada on the labour conditions of sex workers and the impact of the recent Supreme Court decision that declared Canada’s prostition laws illegal. We will also be examining the Swedish model of punishing the clients of sex workers and questioning it’s impact on sex-worker safety. We’ll be listening to an interview with Rodrigue, a Côte-des-Neiges resident on health problems and welfare. And we’ll be discussing inceasing STM rates, hydro rates, and how long it took Canada’s richest people to make your yearly salary (hint: it wasn’t long).
