CKUT Invites the City of Montreal to Test the Limits of their Aural Capacities at the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival
Join us in the Belgo Building for a night of DJing, live musical acts mixed with spoken word and live radio art transmission performance.
Hydro-Québec presents Nuit blanche à Montréal and CKUT is hosting our first event ever. We will bring passerbys a full auditory exploration of the magic of radio in 45 minute sets.
DJs will spin everything from Brazilian beats to heavy metal and drone.
Amateur and veteran sound-makers will blend words, interviews, sound
effects and music into pieces of audio art. Musicians will deliver
enchanting performances. Live projections by
Studio Béluga will accompany the sonic performances.
There will be a display of vintage radios courtesy of the
Musée des ondes Emile Berliner
The evening will be broadcast live over the airwaves of CKUT 90.3FM or www.ckut.ca, between the hours of 19h on February 27th and 2h on February 28th, reaching the ears of unsuspecting audience members in their cars, bedrooms, living rooms and bathtubs.

Hydro-Québec présente Nuit blanche à Montréal et CKUT présente pour la première fois un événement. Nous proposons aux visiteurs une exploration auditive complète de la magie qu’est la radio en blocs de 45 minutes.
Les DJs feront jouer de tout, en passant par des rythmes brésiliens, du heavy métal et du drone. Amateurs et vétérans bruiteurs mélangeront mots, entrevues, effets sonores et musique pour créer des Ïuvres d’art audio. Les musiciens offriront des spectacles enchanteurs. Les projections de
Studio Béluga vont accompagner les instellations sonores.
Il y aura une exposition des radios d'époque gracieuseté du
Musée des ondes Emile Berliner
La soirée sera diffusée en direct sur les ondes de CKUT 90.3FM ou www.ckut.ca entre 19h le 27 février et 2h le 28 février, atteignant donc les oreilles d’auditeurs qui ne se doutent de rien, surpris dans leurs autos, chambres à coucher, salons et baignoires.
