1988 was when Rickey D first went on live radio, debuting on Sundays early mornings, as Rhythm in the City from 2am to 7am.
The shows popularity eventually evolved into a 100% RnB/soul music show called the Sound of Soul, which is still on Monday mornings, 12 am to 1am
and quickly grew as one of the most popular Urban Soul radio shows in Montreal.
Fast forward 30 years and The SOUND of SOUL is still on the air pumping out Sunday night after Sunday night and now one of the longest running Urban Radio shows on radio in Montreal radio history.
In June of 2025 The Sound of Soul introduced Montreal music producer Spark to be a host on the show alongside Rickey D.
Coming from the world of music promotion, production and entertainment Spark is known for his hype energy, creative talents and experience.
