February 20, 2024: Interview with Performers Jeremy Lewis & Alexandra Laferrière

Infinitheatre @infinitheatremtl is producing an adaptation of Dominoes at the Crossroads a novel which represents a vital, poignant voice from the Montréal landscape. The author Kaie Kellough’s writing resonates widely in a world where so many people straddle the line between cultures and having multiple roots and homes. 

Inifinit’s Artistic Director, Zach Fraser adapted and directed Dominoes at the Crossroads for the stage in collaboration with a team of multi-disciplinary artists.

The artist joining us this evening are Alexandra Laferrière and Jeremy Lewis, 2/3rd of the ensemble who will be performing this adaptation onstage.

Alexandra Laferrière @dameofwonders is a Montreal actor of Haitian descent. She is a graduate of John Abbott College’s Professional Theatre Acting Program and participated in Black Theatre Workshop’s Artist Mentorship Program, receiving guidance and support from established local artists. During her mentorship, she performed in Black Theatre Workshop’s critically acclaimed production Gas Girls, her professional debut. 

Jeremy Lewis @thejesterofthecourt is a mixed-race artist, predominantly Trinidadian and French-Canadian, born and based in Tio’tia:ke(Montreal). Jeremy has always had an interest in the arts. Having studied classical and jazz trombone in high school, they initially set their sights on pursuing a career as a musician, but also through John Abott College’s Professional Theatre Program discovered within them a love for acting.

With a running time of about 90 minutes Dominoes at the Crossroads will be playing at 3680 Jeanne-Mance St, Montreal, from March 7 to March 16, 2024. Tickets can be purchased immediately at infinitheatre.com
