Hand Frequencies Launch Video! ASL on the Radio
On October 29, The Avalanche, CKUT’s disability justice program, launched the first edition of Hand Frequencies: ASL on the Radio.
This project, in collaboration with Spectrum Productions and ASL interpreter Liz Scully, aims to bring The Avalanche to the Deaf community! We will post an ASL interpretation video of the show once per month here on our website, so keep checking back, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info, and to find out the next dates of the shows.
You can also join the Avalanche Facebook group here!
Here is our first video from October 29, 2014!
On this program, we interviewed Bonnie Brayton of DAWN, the Disabled Women’s Network of Canada, plus Avalanche former collaborators Cathy Inouye and Portia Larlee.
