The Campus Engagement Coordinator is a role for an outgoing McGill student passionate about grassroots campus media. CKUT is McGill’s campus radio station since 1987, and students and faculty power much of our programming. The Campus Engagement Coordinator would help with on-campus outreach, attending and organizing on-campus events (like Thursdays Alive, our monthly show of McGill musical talent at Gerts), and helping to enrich CKUT’s programming grid and volunteer base with more McGill talent.

The Morning Detour, CKUT’s Urban Friday Morning Radio Show (7am-9am), covers black entrepreneurship, urban music, culture, wellness and events affecting the black community in Montreal. Their passion and hard work has resulted in a growing number of listeners and supporters. CKUT music department requested Media Accreditation for this year’s Montreal Jazz Festival confident that the coverage and unique spin would be valuable to listeners, the Jazz Festival and rewarding for the artists they chose to cover.
