Every year on September 30th, which is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, CKUT participates in a national broadcast about reconciliation.

In 2025 and 2026, we broadcast Remembering the Children, which honours residential school Survivors, remembers the children who never returned home and acknowledges the ongoing journey toward truth and reconciliation.

In 2023, this was A Day to Remember, organized by the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF). Learn more at adaytolisten.ca

CKUT is proud to be one of the 500+ stations around Canada that participate in these broadcasts.

We encourage all our members and listeners to familiarize themselves with the 94 Calls to Action (2015) from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) and to inform themselves about the Indigenous histories of the land where they live, as well as ongoing struggles for sovereignty, decolonization, and land back.
