Help Keep Community Radio on the Air

Every day, CKUT 90.3 FM broadcasts voices, music and stories that you won’t hear anywhere else.

From local artists and independent journalists to grassroots organizers and community storytellers, CKUT exists to amplify the voices that commercial media often overlooks, or leaves out altogether.

Our signal travels across Montreal – and far beyond – connecting people, cultures, languages, and ideas. But unlike commercial stations, CKUT is powered by its listeners. Once a year, we ask the community that makes this station possible, to keep it going.

From April 9-19, 2026, we’re launching our annual Funding Drive - and this year we’re broadcasting under the banner of Intergalactic Radio. A transmission far beyond borders, genres, and galaxies.

We need your help to keep the signal beaming across the world and into outer space.

Why Your Donation Matters

Community radio is rare. CKUT exists because people believe media should be community-driven, people-powered, independent, and accessible to all.

100+ volunteer-produced radio programs
Independent and local music you won’t hear on commercial radio
Grassroots journalism and community reporting
Training and mentorship for new broadcasters
Programming in more than 5 different languages

For nearly four decades, CKUT has been a space where artists, journalists, activists, students and neighbours come together to create radio that reflects the communities we’re part of.

Each week:

300+ volunteers power the station
Thousands of listeners tune in locally and online
Dozens of communities hear themselves represented on the air

Pickup of merch from CKUT offices is available by appointment (funding@ckut.ca). Items ship within 5 business days via Canada Post (standard airmail for overseas). If you are making a recurring donation, we will cover shipping costs, so please select the $0 option and we'll get in touch.
