Urban Indigenous Radio premiered on April 10th, 2018. It took over the spot from the long-running Native Solidarity News, which was helmed by Irkar Beljaars for the previous 13 years. His swan song aired on March 27th, 2018.
The Urban Indigenous Radio Collective was made up of Indigenous Voices from across Canada that resided in Montreal, bringing Unceded voices, stories, and news to Native Solidarity News.
It ran live until June 2020 and then in reruns until June 2021, when it was replaced by All Kanien'kéha Radio.
