October 30, 2022: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we're still COVID aware and this is my 129th show recorded at home! Happy halloween! I don't usually toot my own horn but I think this is my best halloween set ever and includes songs from Jim Zeller, Brian Blain, Son Of Dave, Doc MacLean, Roy Buchanan, St. Louis Bessie (Mae Smith), Lena Henry, Junior Wells, Rory Block, Michael Jerome Browne, Kirby Sewell Band, Jeff Beck, Romi Mayes, The Blues Brothers with Dr. John, and Lauren Anderson. I even throw in a "Crossroads" story from Laszlo Cravensworth! We lost the Killer - Jerry Lee Lewis this week and pay tribute with duets he recorded with Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. In the "history" part of the show I've got Tommy Johnson, Sippie Wallace, Julia Lee, Robert Nighthawk, Clarence Samuels, Sonny Rhodes, William Clarke, and Delbert McClinton. We'll close with a song from Barbara Diab & The Smoked Meat Band who will be appearing Sunday at House Of Jazz - Laval. Tune in to CKUT 90,3 FM (Montreal) or http://www.ckut.ca (everywhere else) from 9-11 PM. The 2022 FUNDING DRIVE is over but IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO DONATE!
