Listeners can help support CKUT as we head in to our 37th year of independent grassroots community broadcasting by visiting www.ckut.ca... and making a contribution.

In return, we'll send you some new Funding Drive merch and you'll be entered into our prize draws - which you can learn more about here ckut.ca...

Btw, the track Cutter's Way is named for the title of a 1981 neo noir indie film, by Ivan Passer. Mostly overlooked upon release, it has come to be regarded as a classic.

Most of what I'm playing today are among my favorite releases from within the last year. Always digging deep for music, from websites to record stores to secret underground caves where vinyl hounds gather and swap discs.

This Myriam Gendron track features Jim White and Marisa Anderson. They'll all be performing at Lion d'Or in May.

Jack Rose is one of my all-time favorite musicians, that I only learned about on the radio. (Not CKUT, but on WFMU, where the DJs also have the freedom to program what they want.) Rose died suddenly, at age 38, in 2009. It's radio stations like CKUT that help keep his legacy alive.

Dear Jeffery,
there seems to be a glitch in the downloaded show file. Music for the first 15 minutes, then silence.
Avatar 2:36pm ckutproduction:

hello audiolog, the archive file, which was damaged by power being cut to our building, has been replaced. thanks for listening.
