On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we revisit some of the latest Canadian blues releases by David Gogo, Big Dave McLean, David Vest & Terry Robb, Kim Doolittle, Alfie Smith, and Blue Moon Marquee. This week's featured new releases are by Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, G3 (Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, & Steve Vai), Jake Shimabukuro & Mick Fleetwood who also invite Sonny Landreth to add some slide), Philip Sayce, and Robert Jon & The Wreck. In the "history" part of the show we start back a hundred years ago with Alberta Hunter and continue with Bertha "Chippie" Hill, Big Bill Broonzy, Black Ace, Rory Block, Ike & Bonnie (???) Turner, Magic Sam, Robert Nighthawk, William Clarke, Delbert McClinton, and Angel Forrest (showcasing b'day boy Ricky Paquette). We'll close with a song from Bharath and His Rhythm Four who will be at Upstairs on Thursday.
