Latin Music Monday presents the rich diversity of music coming from Latin America, from Canadians of Latin roots, and generally music inspired in Latin America. We explain the historical context of music, understanding music as another form of narrative that reflects the struggles and challenges that people living in the region face daily.

This program is a window to the experiences of the many communities of Montrealers born or interested in Latin American culture.

El regreso del Jedi... Después de un breve aplazamiento, el músico, creador de ritmos y productor de Montréal Oonga llegará a las ondas de CKUT 90.3 FM con una lista de canciones esenciales que revelará sus influencias más profundas desde su inconsciente musical.

Oonga nació en la rumba.... su segundo nombre es “Pachangón” y lo que más lo define es una fiesta de cocina con sus amigos. Hoy tiene una prolífica carrera con huella en la escena underground local e internacional, siempre sacando algo nuevo de la cocina donde frecuentemente el está preparando algo con sus amigos...

Oonga was born in “la rumba”. His second name is “Pachangón” and what define his the most is a kitchen party with homies. Today, he holds a very prolific career with a stamp in both local and international underground scene, straight out from his kitchen where he is always cooking with friends…
