December 3, 2024: Interview with Spoken Word Artist: Titi Semahu
Welcome to this Tuesday's edition of Soul Perspectives on CKUT 90.3FM!
Tonight, we’re excited to introduce Titi, a poet and spoken word artist from Montreal whose work has been shaping the local arts scene for over a decade. Known for her powerful blend of rap, R&B, and social justice themes, Titi’s writing and performances are raw, vulnerable, and unapologetically bold. She channels her emotions and experiences into art that invites her audience to connect with their own authentic selves.
Beyond her artistry, Titi is deeply committed to fostering community. In 2021, she co-founded Mic’d Up MTL, a monthly open mic night that she hosts alongside fellow artist William Cleophat. Join us as we dive into Titi’s journey, her creative process, and the ways in which she uses her voice to inspire change and authenticity.
Find Titi on all her social media @callhertiti and her organizations MicdUp Mtl @micdupmtl as well. Tune in this and every Tuesday from 7pm-8.30pm on www.ckut.ca or 90.3FM for our weekly talkshow.
