Our guest this evening is an artist whose sound is as captivating as it is unique—Montreal-based singer, songwriter, and producer, Dawn Cadence. At just 23, Dawn is already making waves with her spellbinding blend of dark pop, ethereal vocals, and deeply personal storytelling.

Her music is a journey through her experiences growing up queer, Black, and religious, and her debut LP odyssey—which she entirely self-produced—set the stage for her signature style. From haunting, siren-like vocals to lyrics that explore themes of autonomy, sexuality, and womanhood, Dawn’s sound is as otherworldly as it is deeply human.

Her latest single, ‘holywater,’ gives us a taste of what’s to come on her upcoming mini-EP sacré coeur, dropping this January 31, 2025. If you haven’t seen her live, her performances are an experience in themselves—her ghostly, angelic presence and soaring vocals leave audiences spellbound.
