I don't think you can afford to sound like snobs towards the Montreal election when you didn't vote or even know what qualifies you to vote. There were very interesting propositions and you saying that the candidates are uninspiring and that the process is complicated makes you sound like spoiled kids from the States and anglo-Canada who came here to live in your own little bubble.
  @5:50 ?:

You should know that we cannot hear your clips. It's dead air...

Thank you for addressing my comment. Reading it again, i realise that it sounded too acidic... I apologize about that. Yes, you are allowed to find the process too complex and the candidates uninspiring, it's just that in context (right after the New York segment), it could be misconstrued as "we're so boring over here, why bother?" Or maybe I was projecting... Anyways, you totally clarified your thoughts afterwards and I appreciated that. I like your show. Good angles and good work! Thank you!
  @12:46 Carla:

Hello, thank you for leaving your comment.
I read every party’s policy platform and I agree that many of them had interesting propositions. Perhaps uninspiring was the wrong word choice. I do think that the main candidates for mayor lacked a certain type of charisma or popular appeal, which unfortunately for many matters much more than policy proposals. Not that those two things cannot coexist, Valérie Plante in her first campaign for mayor had a good platform and was a breath of fresh air compared to Denis Coderre. People like Catherine Fournier, Stéphane Boyer and Bruno Marchand who won their elections also come to mind.
For the clips, they functioned well in studio and they appear in the recording, so that is something I will have to check with production. I only spotted this comment as we were ending the show, my bad. Going forward we’ll be keeping an eye on the comment section while doing the show. Thank you for listening!
