Joe Bonamassa  When Love Comes To Town feat Slash, Shemekia Copeland, & Myles Kennedy   Favoriting B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100  KTBA Records  2026  “When Love Comes to Town” is the U2 song originally recorded by B.B. King with Bono. Josh Smith said the song stood out early in the process. “We knew early on we wanted to include this U2 song in an effort to span the breadth of B.B.’s entire career,” he explained. The arrangement came together once Shemekia Copeland was chosen to take on King’s vocal role. “She absolutely crushed it,” Smith said. The track also features Myles Kennedy singing Bono’s parts and Slash on guitar, an idea Smith said came from Bonamassa. “It turned into such a standout,” Smith added, offering a “shoutout to Alan Hertz for the amazing mix.”

Mike Zito  Forever My Love   Favoriting Life Is Hard  Gulf Coast Records  2024  "I wanted to write at least one meaningful song that encapsulated my emotions (about the tragedy of my wife Laura having cancer). Every morning I would sit at the table and sing it loud and she would listen. She would tell me how much she loved the song, she was really proud. We had hoped she would live long enough to hear the finished version, but that didn't happen. But, she heard me sing this song 100 times to her at our house last year, and she knew you were going to love it." -- Mike Zito

Little Walter  Who   Favoriting Definitive Blues Anthology  Not Now Music  1956  d. 1968-0215, CHICAGO, IL 37 A few months after returning from his second European tour, he was involved in a fight while taking a break from a performance at a nightclub on the South Side of Chicago. The relatively minor injuries sustained in this altercation aggravated and compounded damage he had suffered in previous violent encounters, and he died in his sleep at the apartment of a girlfriend at 209 E. 54th St. in Chicago early the following morning. The official cause of death indicated on his death certificate was "coronary thrombosis" (a blood clot in the heart); evidence of external injuries was so insignificant that police reported that his death was of "unknown or natural causes", and there were no external injuries noted on the death certificate. His body was buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL on February 22, 1968 (Wiki)
