Favoriting March 3, 2026: KNOTS - Episode 1

the show examines how identity, memory, spirituality, and power are intertwined, often in ways flattened or erased by Western narratives. Each session pulls on a thread, orientalism, diaspora, ancestral knowledge, representation, and asks what happens when we treat Pan-Asian realities not as singular stories, but as layered and relational.

Listener chat!

  3:19pm Gabriel:

Very nice transition from Voko to Knots. It keeps the listener in Asia.
Keep in mind: the Original people are not a minority anywhere on Earth. We are the majority.
The European is the minority.
  3:38pm ?:

Michelle and Annette!!!! Thank you for sharing your critical perspectives as well as history and culture about 🇨🇳 and 🇰🇷!
  4:27pm Gabriel:

Sisters, don't pay to much attention to what other people think about you, especially those who know nothing of you.

Like the Honorable Elijah Muhammad Teaches: Accept your own and be yourself!

You are more than a person from a piece of land with artificial borders and a name.
  4:54pm Em:

Thank you so much for your generous and vulnerable sharing of emotions and stories. It has been touching to listen to the weaving of the participant's longer or shorter segments, were they historic, cultural and experiential, and songs to create this vibrant tapestry.
