April 14, 2026: SQUAT Show Ep. 25 - FUTURE ANCESTOR

This month's episode tunes into the theme of Intergalactic Radio with transmissions from across Southeast Asia, the Malay Archipelago, and its diasporas.

The title is borrowed from Indonesian sound artist Rani Jambak, whose ongoing #FUTUREANCESTOR project uses field recording and instrument design to think through the connections between ancestral knowledge, ecology, and what comes next. Expect Filipino soundsystem culture, post-budots experiments, Indonesian noise from speaker-competition crews, and protest sound from Thailand. New material from Gulod Tanawin's debut album Ginhawa bookends the show, with a dub remix from Mote Soundsystem and Dongker, and tracks from seekersinternational, DJ Love, Rani Jambak, Pisitakun, and more.
