Panacea has the goal of initiating open conversations and reducing stigma surrounding mental health and mental illness. To do so, Michelle teaches 'mental health 101' and shares some of her own experiences living with mental illness.
The positive impact that mental health literacy can have in your own life, and for the people around you, is what drives her. If her words can inspire empathy and change at least one person's perspective or make someone feel less alone, then she has done her job. Join us for some fun tunes and vulnerable conversations!

June 25, 2026: Interview: Jade Stobbart - Empathy Research
In this episode we are joined by Jade Stobbart, a PhD candidate in the Experimental Psychology Program at McGill University studying empathy in the Bartz Lab under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Bartz.
We got to chat with Jade about her research into empathy, and how we can take this abstract concept and find ways to scientifically define and measure it in research settings. Empathy is made up of many different facets, and one of those is self-other distinction which we dive further into.
Importantly, we chat about real-world implications of such research and specifically, how Jade is looking to start "The Research Shop", an initiative that will support research projects which involve participation and input from the community in order to address a need or interest of that population.
