In today's segment, Maïa and I had the chance to talk to Nigel Crawhall, Chief of UNESCO's LINKS Program. LINKS stands for Local and Indigenous Knowledge Systems. LINKS' main goal is to enable conversations and help people understand the different types of ways that people and cultures generate knowledge, make decisions, and perceive the world.

We talk about what makes up knowledge systems , the relationship between traditional knowledge systems and formal sciences, and how the way that we think about research and knowledge is shifting.
