January 31, 2023: Interview with Nicole Musoni
Singer-Songwriter Nicole Musoni @nicolemusoni wears her last name with pride and has a natural inclination towards music, a talent coming from her father's side of the family tree. The eldest daughter of legendary Rwandan artist Evariste Musoni was barely two years old when she first set foot onstage at the Odeon Palace Auditorium in Burundi. Decades later after moving to Montreal at three years old, Nicole remains an artist whose roots & creative expression are deeply embedded in East African soil and culture with influences from contemporary R&B.
The artist takes us on a deep dive into her life and we talk about everything from making the decision to dive into her art without abandon 6 years ago, how the Rwandan genocide affected her community here in Montreal and more.
Join us January 31, 2023 on Soul Perspectives CKUT 90.3FM or www.ckut.ca from 7-8.30PM EST.
