This Tuesday April 30, we are back live from Westhaven Community Centre @westhaventeens for Teen Talks with guest host Zip Loks @ziploks our Teen rep: Nefetari, Phenomenal and a lineup of guests for the evening.
One of our guests Dr. Amber Rose Johnson is a writer, artist, and educator from Providence, Rhode Island (USA) who has recently relocated to Montreal. She is a graduate of the English and Africana Studies PhD program at the University of Pennsylvania. In Philadelphia, she was the coordinator of the Black Cultural Studies Collective and founded RoseBellClub, a kettlebell-focused strength training community. As a scholar and educator, Amber Rose is dedicated to Black Study and Black feminist pedagogies. Her primary research focus is contemporary Black diasporic experimental cultural production. She will begin as an Assistant Professor of English at McGill in Fall 2024.
