June 4, 2024: Celebrating Black Fathers w/Awaken the Awesome Podcast Host: Olivier Day

For the month of June, we Celebrate Black Fathers in our community. Our guest this evening is the first Black father to return to the airwaves to talk about fatherhood. He is: "A regular guy who gets curious." which is how Olivier Day sums himself up. That is the opening of his official website of the Awaken The Awesome podcast.

Fatherhood was a journey for him that took its fair share of ups and down. But he was determined to be an exemplary figure to his children, honour his wife and his family to the best of his ability. We touch on so many unspoken sides of fatherhood, breaking cycles of what could have been considered abusive behaviours, how miscarriages affect men, the shields some if not many men must wear to protect themselves and their families and so much more.
