Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we add two more festivals to our blues gumbo with a preview of some of the artists appearing at the Festival De Blues De La Montérégie and the West Island Blues Festival. In that spirit we'll hear from Matt Gibb, Barbara Diab, Jitterbug Swing, Mike Goudreau Band, Father 'N' Son, and Jim Zeller. We also say goodbye to another musical icon with the passing of Kinky Friedman on Thursday. This week's featured new releases are by Rory Block, Eden Brent, Curtis Salgado, Jubu Smith, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. In the "history" part of the show I've got Edna Hicks, Little Buddy Doyle, Peter Cleighton, Smiley Lewis, James Cotton, Syl Johnson, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Cub Koda, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Johnny Copeland. We'll close with a song from Riot And The Blues Devils who'll be at Le Vieux Bourgogne on Friday under the aegis of the Festival De Blues De La Montérégie.
