October 31, 2024: Palestine news from: South Africa, Canada, Israel, Australia, Lebanon, France, UAE and Saudi Arabia
On today’s episode we will be covering a variety of news related to Palestine from various countries. We will start with South Africa, the country gained respect for its open criticism of the genocidal war undertaken by the Israeli government against Palestinians, but what about white South Africans, are they participating in the protests? And why some South African activists aare accusing their government of hypocrisy? Than we will come to Canada and talk about our own government’s pattern when its comes to Genocide. Is the inaction of Canada on Palestine an exception or does Canada have a history of uselessness when it comes to these types of atrocities? After we will hear from Israelis themselves. Recently 3000 israelis signed an open letter asking the international community to stop their government and impose a ceasefire, will the world listen? Then we will move on to Australia and see how the latest activism by pro-apartheid groups is trying to suppress academic freedom in the country, and see what is the reason for this latest escalation and panic over student activism. Finally we will move on to the Arab world. First we will cover the latest from Lebanon and the empty promises of France’s government to Lebanese, then we will look at the relation between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Are there signs of rapprochement between these 2 countries? One article seems to think so.
