December 22, 2024: MY ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SHOW!
Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue you can tell from the change-up to the theme that this is my annual XMAS SHOW. I'm going to step aside and just let the music play. Last week I served up this year's crop of new Christmas music and this week I bring some of my favourites both old and new. We'll hear from Roomful Of Blues, Finis Tasby, William Clarke, Blind Boys of Alabama, James Brown, Leroux, The Cash Box Kings, Lyle Lovett, Mojo Nixon, Big Harp George, Louis Jordan, Jimmy Butler, William Bell, Coco Montoya, Lawrence Lebo, Maria Muldaur, Michelle 'Evil Gal' Wilson, and Patsy Raye & The Beatniks. Canadian artists celebrating Christmas in song include Colin James, Jerome Godboo, Matt Andersen, Tim Williams, Brandon Isaac, Holly Cole, and Ginger St. James with The Vanishers. Montreal is also well represented with music from Michael Jerome Browne, Robert "Dr Bobus" Paquin, Mike Goudreau Band & Dany Roy, Rick L. Blues & The Swinging Fools, and Angel Forrest. You can also expect my (non)traditional closers Johnny Guarnieri & Slam Stewart's "Santa's Secret" and Babs Gonzales' "Be Bop Santa Claus".
