Favoriting January 12, 2025: HOT NEW SINGLES! NEW RELEASES! This Week In Blues History! Where It's At (The Live Music Roundup)!

Listen to this show: Pop-up listenListen | Download

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we start out with the latest singles to hit the blues airwaves from Little Georgie and The Shuffling Hungarians, Robert Jon & The Wreck, Crystal Shawanda, Skylar Rogers, and the first single from Montreal's own Bob Scienza & The Wigs. In new releases I'm catching up on some of the later arrivals from 2024 with Ollee Owens, Travis Bowlin, Walk That Walk, Giles Robson & John Primer, and Carly Harvey, and already have the first new release of 2025, a posthumous compilation from the late Frank Bey. In the "history" set we start back in 1929 with Clara Smith and continue with Jay McShann, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Eddie Taylor, Lowell Fulson, Freddie King, Long John Baldry, Junior Kimbrough, and JD Simo & Luther Dickinson. We'll close with a tune from the brassiest blues band in town Fuel Junkie who'll be at Upstairs on Thursday.

HOT NEW SINGLES IN YOUR AREA!
Little Georgie and The Shuffling Hungarians  Come To Jesus   Favoriting The Compendium Of Unruly Caterwauling  Queen Bee Brand World Media Group  2024  The seventh track in a series of cascading singles. COME TO JESUS isn’t a musing on a moment of spiritual redemption as much as it explores the act of consistently screwing up and sinning gleefully with impunity with no apparent consequence…. Until the metaphoric jig is actually up. WE'RE STILL WAITING ... we now have confirmation that all people are not equal in the eyes of the law.
