April 8, 2025: Interview w/Author Greg Frankson
Welcome to Soul Perspectives on 90.3 FM! Today, we’re excited to introduce a multi-talented force in the world of literature and education. Joining us is Greg Frankson, a Toronto-based educator, consultant, public speaker, and award-winning literary artist. Greg is perhaps best known for his editing work on the critically acclaimed AfriCANthology: Perspectives of Black Canadian Poets, and his contributions to five literary anthologies. He’s also the author of four poetry collections.
Greg’s impressive career has seen him serve as the poet laureate for the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership, as well as the resident poet on CBC Radio One’s Here and Now Toronto. His writings have graced numerous literary, digital, and journalistic publications, making a significant impact on the literary landscape.
This past January 2025, Greg released his first book of creative nonfiction, Alphabet Soup, with Dundurn Press. We're thrilled to have him with us today to dive into his journey, his work, and what’s next on the horizon.
