FEATURED NEW RELEASES
Talk Time ID         Grammy-nominated blues/soul singer Candice Ivory, dubbed “The Queen of Avant Soul,” released her latest album, New Southern Vintage on Nola Blue Records on Sep12th. New Southern Vintage pays homage to the blues as an iconic Southern folk form as well as the heroines and heroes who created it, including her greatest inspirations: blueswoman Memphis Minnie ("World of Trouble," "Shout the Boogie") and her great-uncle Will Roy Sanders ("I'm in Trouble"), who fronted the Fieldstones, one of the best Memphis blues band of the 1970s and 1980s.

The Name Droppers  Think Yiddish   Favoriting Cool Blue Shoes  Horizon Music Group  2025  The Name Droppers got their name because of the list of names of the artists they've been mentored by and worked with over the years. Cool Blue Shoes is their fifth album and "Think Yiddish" provides an opportunity for a bit of whimsical wordplay: "Well I went to the doctor, the doctor said / Too much pizza and American bread / Too many Budweisers give you a sleepy head / Think Yiddish, dress British that’s what he said."
