Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we start with new singles from Big Harp George (with a Quebec connection!), Peter Karp, Roger "Hurricane" Wilson, Bob Corritore with Johnny Rawls, and Portugal's Vítor Bacalhau. We also include new guitar instrumentals from two masters of the telecaster, Bill Kirchen and Tom Principato. This week's featured new release is Ndidi O's "It's About Time". What better way to celebrate Women's History Month than by acknowledging the great blues women nominated for Female Vocalist Of The Year in the upcoming inaugural Canadian Blues Music Awards: Ndidi O, Angelique Francis, Crystal Shawanda, Dana Wylie (Secondhand Dreamcar), and Samantha King. The "history" part of the show starts in 1932 with a song from Peetie Wheatstraw and continues with Josh White, Lightnin' Hopkins, Louis Jordan, T-Bone Walker, Big Maybelle, Sunnyland Slim, Sunday Wilde, Ry Cooder, Jimmie Vaughan, Marcia Ball, plus more guitar instrumentals from Duane Eddy and Hollywood Fats. We'll close with a song from Colin Perry & Peter Mika who will provide live music for the swing dance crowd at Les Mercredis Swing at Café La Ligne Verte.
