Sam I Am Montolla born Samantha Hinds is an artist in motion. She started with dance at a young age and her love of music led her to singing and songwriting. Her diverse palette has brought her to many collabs in Montreal like Jai Nitai Lotus, Shashu and Mofak, she is a member of Improv Collective Kalmunity, for many years; she has taught and traveled through the medium of Hip Hop Dance and Waacking.
Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Funk is where she likes to play around, not forgetting Gospel in her teens with her Barbadian and Trinidadian heritage. Her last solo project, “INTRO TO INDIGO” Mixtape is where she explores recording and dives into producing; a homage to her inspirations in music styles, artists and producers. Sam I Am is currently working on a new album to be released in 2022. Honoring her musical lineage, she brings together all of her skills wrapped as a present that is Soul. A reminder to ignite love and self-discovery.
