May 10, 2022: Celebrating Black Mothers w/Maguy Metellus
Maguy Métellus @maguymetellus is a Haitiano-Quebecoise mother, grandmother, militante afroféministe, human rights advocate, diseuse and animatrice. In May 2016 she co-founded the Lectures Logos Readings with H. Nigel Thomas and the late Horace I. Goddard. Over the past twenty years she has become a staple in the community. She now revels in her new status as a beloved elder.
Maguy regales us with her perspective on motherhood, on being a grandmother and the amazing privilege of having four generations of her family alive and well. Tune in this Tuesday May 10, 2022 as we discuss all this and more on www.ckut.ca or 90.3FM.
