May 3, 2022: Celebrating Black Mothers w/Rhema Huggins
This month Soul Perspectives is celebrating Black Mothers for the entire month of May. We have a lineup of a variety of mothers, from newly minted to veterans in the game of motherhood!
Hailing from the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Rhema Huggins @ellieghuggs has always had a passion for arts and culture. During her CEGEP days, she was a founding member of the student association that implemented Cultural Nights - a student led variety show at Vanier College. While pursuing her studies in Building Engineering at Concordia University, she served as the Vice President then later the President of the Concordia Caribbean Student Union which has played a pivotal role in driving awareness and celebrating the richness of the diverse Caribbean culture. She also tested the waters as a host on Soul Perspectives a few years back.
Rhema has had many proud moments from competing in a National Music competition at 11 to gaining her photography certification from the University of the West Indies at 12 but her greatest accomplishment to date comes with her newest title - mom!
Join us Tuesday May 3, 2022 as we chop it up with the newly minted mother from 7-8.30pm on Soul Perspectives 90.3FM or www.ckut.ca
