Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we're still COVID aware and this is my 145th show recorded at home. Let's warm up with new singles from the Cashbox Kings and our own Midnight Miles. Then we'll remember Huey "Piano" Smith with a couple of his classics. We were fortunate to have Adam Karch call me to talk about his recent experience at the International Blues Competition in Memphis where he took home the award for best guitarist in the solo/duo division and I'll also throw in songs from a couple of the artists who previously represented at the this prestigious event - Michael Jerome Browne and Steve Hill. This week's featured new releases are from Walk That Walk, Terry Donaghue, Mockingbird Hill, and PD Martin. In the "history" part of the show I've got "Lightnin" Hopkins, Corey Harris, Memphis Slim, Harry "Piano Man" Vann Walls, A.C. Reed, Troy Gonyea. Johnny Winter, and Dutch Mason. We'll close with a song from The Stephen Barry Band in anticipation of their Friday show at the Wheel Club.
