October 11, 2022: Talking about Death in the Black Community with Erica Edwards
Erica Edwards @therealerica_e is many things, TV Host, Events Coordinator, Program Facilitator, Outreach Worker and Social Media Manager at the Durham Family & Cultural Centre in Durham Ontario. She is also an entrepreneur bedazilling items under her business Erica's Embellishments and is currently building a business by the name of, Normalizing Grief. One of the titles Erica is most proud of is that of mother.
Tragically, the fear that any parent could ever experience befell her and her family, when her second born child and first son, Kai was found unresponsive in 2021. A parent should never bury their child. Erica generously shares with us her journey through grief, the rituals she created for herself and more. This October we dedicate the month to making space to speak candidly about death.
Join us Tuesday October 11, 2022 as we dive deeply into the topic on your radio dial 90.3FM in Montreal, or www.ckut.ca.
