April 27, 2023: Mood Disorders: Unipolar and Bipolar Depressive Disorders
In this episode we talk about mood disorders, and clarify some commonly used terms. This episode was a bit more factual, but was important to lay some groundwork and foundation for talking about unipolar and bipolar depressive disorders in the future. We distinguished different forms of depression, and bipolar disorder I and II, and talked about the unique link between creativity and psychopathology. Depression is much more than what it is portrayed to be in media, news, and film/TV, and symptoms manifest differently for different people, and this episode sheds light on that.
