Blues from every era. Interview with artists, concert listings, blues related events, information and trivia, gearhead heaven…just what kind of harmonica was that?

On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Every Sunday 9 - 11pm (EDT)

Favoriting July 14, 2024: MONTREAL GOT TALENT! NEW RELEASES! This Week In Blues History! Where It's At!

Listen to this show: Pop-up listenListen | Download

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we know that it's distracting to focus festival season on big name out-of-towners but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that talented Montrealers are making great new music too! Let's celebrate some of our great locals with music from the Mike Goudreau Band, Colin Perry - Peter Mika - Costa Zafiropoulos, The Stephen Barry Band, Adam Karch, and Paolo Stante. This week's featured new releases are by The Imagine If, Mark Hummel, Shemekia Copeland, Southside Denny (Snyder), and Big Bay Allen. In the "history" part of the show I've got Cow Cow Davenport, Lucille Bogan, Jack Kelly, Grace Brim, Howlin' Wolf, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, B.B. King, Johnny Winter, Chuck E. Weiss, and JW-Jones. We'll close with a song from Emily Estrella And The Stardust Stompers who'll be inspiring the swing dancers at Chez Ernest on Thursday.
