On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we start out with more from the latest albums by from Chris Cain, Mark Hummel, Bobby Hurricane Spencer & Jeff Dale, Little Georgie & The Shuffling Hungarians, Son of Dave, and The Commoners. This week's featured new releases are by Kid and Lisa Andersen & The Greaseland All Stars, Colin James, Billy Price, and Diana Braithwaite & Chris Whiteley. In the "history" part of the show I've got Mamie Smith, Lonnie Johnson, Casey Bill Weldon, Memphis Minnie, Detroit Junior, Joe Hill Louis, Willie Nix, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, and Annika Chambers & Paul DesLauriers. We'll close with a song from Rob Lutes who'll be at the Dorval edition of the West Island Blues Festival on Saturday.

	Talk Time ID				Much of the music that has defined each generation has come from the major studios in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville etc. But there have always been smaller studios outside of the mainstream, often run by a single owner/producer that does it their way and punches well above their weight. Every era has had them. Over the last decade and a half over 150 albums have emerged from a small studio in a suburb of San Jose, California. Greaseland USA is one of these magic hubs. 	Talk Time ID				2016 Blues Music Award (BMA) winner and frequent BMA nominee Billy Price first attracted national attention during his three-year association with guitarist Roy Buchanan. Price’s album This Time for Real, with Chicago soul singer Otis Clay, received a 2016 BMA for best soul blues album. He received BMA nominations in 2019 (Reckoning) and 2020 (Dog Eat Dog) for best soul blues album, and in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 for best male soul blues artist.

	Talk Time ID				Diana Braithwaite has roots in the southern United States and her ancestors escaped slavery through the Underground Railroad. Multi-instrumentalist Chris Whiteley, (guitar, harmonica, trumpet, steel guitar), has had an illustrious music career spanning some 50 years since his early beginnings with the renowned Sloth Band. This blues couple have recorded 8 previous albums together and have toured all over North America, UK and Europe.
