On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we start with new singles from Eliza Neals, Larry McCray, The Wood Brothers, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, TajMo (Taj Mahal & Keb 'Mo), Jim Kweskin, Little Georgie and The Shuffling Hungarians, and Emanuel Casablanca. This week's featured new releases are by Tad Robinson, Blind Lemon Pledge, and Kim Field and the Perfect Gentlemen. In the "history" set we've got Victoria Spivey, Frank Hutchison, Cow Cow Davenport, Leroy Carr & Scrapper Blackwell, Charley Patton, Homesick James, Freddie Roulette, Hop Wilson, Otis Rush, and Chris Antonik. We'll close with a song from Midnight Miles who'll be at Bar de Courcelle on Wednesday.

  Talk Time ID         Soul-blues singer TAD ROBINSON has collected two W.C. Handy Award nominations and eight Blues Music Award nominations. His new album is titled SOUL IN BLUE and six of these tracks were recorded in Indianapolis with his longtime road band, plus special guests. Four tracks were cut in Chicago at Delmark’s Riverside Studio with the DELMARK ALL-STARS.
