Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we start with new singles from Harrell "Young Rell" Davenport, Kaliopi & The Blues Messengers, Ndidi O, and Bywater Call plus selections from the latest releases by Robbin Kapsalis, Hudspeth & Taylor, Alex Beraldo, and Al Basile. This week's featured new releases are from Father 'N' Son (contest winners for "Quebec To Memphis"!), The Lucky Losers, and GeminiiDRAGON. The "history" part starts in 1924 with Alberta Hunter and continues with Big Bill Broonzy, Black Ace, Ike Turner, Muddy Waters, Magic Sam, Eddie Harris, Alex Schultz, Rory Block, William Clarke, Finis Tasby, and Delbert McClinton. You'll have two opportunities to catch one of Montreal's finest deep dish Chicago style blues bands this week when the Otis Ali Blues Group takes the stage Thursday at Upstairs and Saturday at Café Komma Rosta in Verdun so we'll close with a song that they've only ever released on Facebook.
