On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue we congratulate the 2026 GRAMMY nominees - well, as many as I could include in the show - Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’, Maria Muldaur, Bobby Rush & Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Randolph, Eric Gales, Southern Avenue, and Samantha Fish. Apologies to Charlie Musselwhite & Joe Bonamassa. This week's crop of new singles yielded 11 Guys Quartet, Lloyd Spiegel, Laurence Jones, Little Feat, Pat Smillie, Rosie's Smokehouse Deluxe, and Danny Bryant. This week's featured new release is the double-sided single from Danny Marks. The "history" part starts in 1926 with a song by Sippie Wallace and continues with Coleman Hawkins, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Jimmy Deberry, Junior Parker, Ruth Brown, B.B. King, Dr. John, Hubert Sumlin, Wee Willie Walker, Chris Cain, and The Allman Brothers Band. We'll close with a song from Mr Pinstripes who'll be at Smoke Meat Pete on Saturday.

Lloyd performs on his signature Cole Clark True Hybrid — a specially designed hybrid guitar to blend acoustic, electric and bass sounds from his guitar at once.
