Tonight is SINGLES NIGHT on Cha Cha Cha In Blue! Most are slated for inclusion on future albums so they won't stay single for long! Meet Handsome Jack, Eric Bibb, Alexis P. Suter Band with guest Garth Hudson, Terry Donaghue, Spencer Mackenzie, Ivan Neville's contribution to Joe Bonamassa's B.B. King tribute, Garret T. Willie, Travis Bolt, Solomon Hicks, Joyann Parker, and somehow married couple Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks slipped into Singles Night but hey, Tedeschi Trucks Band can do no wrong. Joanne Shaw Taylor and the Altered Five Blues Band released singles with identical titles and we meet some international singles from Australia's Kaliopi & The Blues Messengers and Portugal's Vítor Bacalhau. The "history" part of the show covers from 1934 to last week with music from Charley Patton, Professor Longhair, Hot Lips Page, Big Joe Turner, Tampa Red (recording as Jimmy Eager), Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Grant Green (with a young Herbie Hancock), Ann Rabson, Sonny Landreth, Charlie Musselwhite, and Lucinda Williams. We'll close with a song from the Durham County Poets to prep you for their Thursday show in the beautiful Cabaret-Théâtre du Vieux-Saint-Jean in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
