It's an INTERGALACTIC FUNDING DRIVE SHOW on Cha Cha Cha In Blue tonight so we'll start with a mashup of space+money songs to encourage donations! This set includes music from Gary Cain, Andrew Duncanson, Raful Neal, Albert King, the Wild Bill Davis Trio, and Buddy Guy. We only do this for about 10 days per year so NOW IS THE TIME TO DONATE and make sure you check my show as the one through which you're donating. Jo Hell has a new single and video and he talked to us about his 30+ year career, his years in Texas, and his upcoming show at Foufounes Electriques. This week's new release deck is stacked with singles from Rick Vito, The Name Droppers, Gwyn Ashton, Steve Louw, Samantha Fish, and Mark Branscombe. The "history" part of the show starts in 1928 with a song from Barbecue Bob and continues with Pink Anderson & Simmie Dooley, Red Nelson, Django Reinhardt, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Tommy Castro, Lowell George, and Johnnie Johnson. We'll close with a new song from the Otis Ali Blues Group who will be at the cool west end dive Bar De Courcelle on Thursday.
