Thanks to all the donors who made this year's Funding Drive a resounding success! It's back to music tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue and we'll start with singles from upcoming albums by Amani Burnham, JP Soars & Anne Harris, Duane Betts, Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar, a song from Joe Bonamassa's tribute to Rory Gallagher, a 1972 track revisited by Robben Ford, and a wonderfully intimate performance from The Bros. Landreth. Kenny Wayne Shepherd has released the first single from his re-creation of his debut album and Beth Hart has revealed a bonus track from her upcoming release of the deluxe edition of "You Still Got Me". We'll introduce a couple of tracks from the debut album by Mich And The Blues Bastards in preparation for Friday's launch at Petit Campus. In the history part of tonight's show we're going back more than a hundred years for a song recorded by Bessie Smith on this very day in 1923, followed by music from Victoria Spivey, Frank Hutchison, Little Walter, Whispering Smith, Hop Wilson, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, J.B. Hutto, and Chris Antonik. We'll close with a song from the Durham County Poets who will be performing at Café Chez Rose in Valleyfield on Saturday.
