On Cha Cha Cha In Blue, the longest-running blues show in Montreal, host John Detcheverry devotes equal time to the classics, new releases and Canadian artists. On the air since 1990.

Listeners can expect to hear the likes of Paul Deslauriers, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Pop Staples, Downchild, Steve Rowe, MonkeyJunk, and Charlie Musselwhite, as well as live performances and interviews.

Tonight on Cha Cha Cha In Blue it's our BACK-TO-SCHOOL SPECIAL with appropriately themed music from Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women, Jimmy Reed, Dale Hawkins, Jimmy Bowskill, Mickey & Sylvia, James Brown, J. Geils Band, Son Of Dave, Robert "Dr Bobus" Paquin, Blind Lemon Pledge, The Johnny Max Band, and The Arc Angels. Then we'll listen to hot new singles from The Gary Kendall Trio, The Texas Headhunters, Keb’ Mo’, JD Simo, Singa B, Pokey LaFarge, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. The history part of tonight's show starts in 1941 with Meade Lux Lewis followed by music from Sonny Boy Williamson II, Junior Wells, Jesse Fortune, Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty, Zuzu Bollin, Joanna Connor, and Freddie King. We'll close the show with Otis Ali Blues Group who will bring their classic Chicago-style blues to Upstairs Jazz on Thursday.
