PREVIEW: JESSICA PRATT @ LA TULIPE

Although more than a decade has passed since Jessica Pratt’s debut album was released in 2012, her latest collection of songs, Here in the Pitch, lacks nothing in terms of the unique affectivity of her music. Hailing from a small town in Northern California, Pratt continues to offer a striking interpretation of the “freak folk” genre to audiences—this time with a new fullness of sound. Pratt will be performing in Montreal next week on September 18th at the intimate La Tulipe theatre, supported by Otto Benson. (Louise B.)
